Disbursement of EIB Loans

The Ministry of Finance would like to inform that on the 8 January 2013 the amount of EUR 700 m has been disbursed under two finance contracts with the European Investment Bank. Under the 3rd tranche of the "EU Funds Co-financing 2007-2013" contract signed between Poland and the Bank on 14 October 2010 proceeds of the loan in the amount of EUR 400 m have been disbursed. The remaining EUR 300 m has been disbursed under the 1st tranche of the Municipal Infrastructure Project signed between Poland and the Bank on the 29 November 2012. The loans have an average maturity of 8 years. The cost of servicing them, as in the case of other loans from the EIB, is substantially lower than the corresponding cost of financing available to the State Treasury on the euro market.
