General Inspector of Financial Information has lately signed the Memorandum of Understanding with its counterpart in Turkey – the Ministry of Finance, Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) of the Republic of Turkey, concerning cooperation in the exchange of financial intelligence related to money laundering and the financing of terrorist.

After the agreement was notified by Turkish authorities it came into force and allows for rapid and constructive exchanges of information necessary to fight money laundering and terrorism financing, including the arrangements for spontaneous sharing of information – on initiative of both sides.

Signing the memorandum with the financial intelligence unit of Turkey gave Poland its 65th agreement in the area of strict cooperation in combating money laundering and terrorism financing.
