UN sanctions

The recipients of the UN regulations (resolutions of the United Nations Security Council) are countries – members of the United Nations. These regulations are implemented at the level of the European Union in a unified way in the form of decisions and regulations of the Council of the European Union. EU Member States undertake complementary actions to the provisions of EU regulations under their national laws.

 

The lists of entities subject to the financial sanctions based on resolutions of the United Nation Security Council regarding threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist attacks:

 

1. Sanctions regime based on Resolution 1267 (1999), according to which the ISIL & Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee maintains a list of persons and entities related to ISIL (Da'esh) and Al Qaeda – ISIL (Da'esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions List.

2. Sanctions regime based on Resolution 1988 (2011), according to which the Taliban Sanctions Committee (the so-called 1988 Committee) maintains a list of persons, groups, undertakings and entities associated to the Taliban – 1988 Sanctions List.
